Welcoming the New Year

Tonight was December 31st, the eve of the new year. As a result, everybody in town was celebrating and more active and excited, Kids and adults of all ages everywhere were partying, having fun and lighting fireworks in anticipation of the new year. And tonight was no different at the Fae Cafe. A very friendly cafe that was most popular among children from how loving the owner, Mia Fae was to everyone, especially her younger customers.

The cafe was more busy than usual due to it being the eve of the new year, Mia was taking care of the children, serving them hot cocoa and giving out free diapers to those who wore or needed them. Much like one of the child customers that she loved with all her heart. A boy known as Steven. Mia walked over to the table where the boy in question sat, carrying a tray of peppermint hot cocoa that everyone loved at Christmas time and New Years. She brought it over to his table seeing him talking with some of his friends. One of them was even Misaki Sorgana as a child.

“Here you sweethearts are, special peppermint hot cocoa free of charge for my favorite customer.” She said as she presented the boys their drinks. The table Steven and Misaki were at was a table of six, if one counted them. The table consisted of an eight year boy with shiny blue eyes and brown hair in a bowl cut, what often got him noticed was the diaper that he had on was at least three times the size of everyone else's that was sitting at the table. His shorts were sagging heavily, his name was Connor.

“Thanks, Miss Fae.” Another boy with brown hair and dark green eyes said, smiling at the waitress. The boy, unlike most every boy at the table was nine. His name was Grant, he was a close friend of Steven's and was sitting next to another boy named Ryan. Grant was Ryan's first friend, and as such. The two boys were as close as brothers. Much like Steven and Misaki.

“Yeah, thanks!” Ryan agreed hugging her while she kissed Ryan on his forehead, causing him to giggle.

“Anything for my little sweetheart and his friends.” She told them. The waitress quickly ran back behind the counter as she got out a plate of fresh baked cookies brought by Sylvia, Steven's mother. “I almost forgot. Steven, your mommy brought these over for New Year's. I thought you and your friends might like to try them.” Mia explained as she brought the cookies over to Steven's table. “So, are you boys doing something for New Year's? I could hear you talking while I was bringing your cocoa.”

“Well...” Misaki said as he bit into a cookie. The plate being a mix of cocoa cookies and the usual chocolate chip. “Steven thought of it.” He said with his mouth full. The hero having willingly turned himself into a ten year old and even wearing a diaper like the rest of the boys at the table to go along with the idea.

“Steven thought of us dressing up for the New Years party when it came close to midnight.” Connor said as he took a cookie of his own, smiling big as he took a bite and taking a drink of the peppermint cocoa the boys had been brought. “Your cocoa is amazing! Now I know why Steven invited us here!” Connor complimented.

“We came here since you were the first person I thought of to help us with the idea, Plus, I knew you would never say no to dressing up me and my friends on New Years tonight.” Steven giggled as he sipped his cocoa and munched on one of the cocoa cookies.

The young waitress smiled at the idea the boys had. “Of course! I'd be more than happy to help you little cuties celebrate, come with me.” She told them as she was about to head upstairs.

“Can I come, too?” A new voice asked from the table to reveal a brown haired boy with light brown colored eyes. He was a six year old boy wearing a diaper like the others of Steven's little group. He was the youngest at Steven's table. His name was Noah.

Mia smiled as she nodded. “Come along if you like, I should be able to find you all something to wear before midnight hits. Follow me, everyone!” She told the group of padded boys as she ran upstairs excitedly with the boys following close behind.

The waitress and diapered boys soon went up to what appeared to be Mia's bedroom above the cafe. She waited for the boys as she stood in front of her closet, opening it to reveal countless clothes the size of children their age, along with both younger ages and older alike. “You boys help yourselves to whatever you find in here. Tonight, it's all for you.”

Steven and the others took a closer look inside the closet, the selection Mia had given them access to looked so massive, they had doubts the back end of the closet could ever be reached. There were clothes of all kinds, from animal themed clothing to night wear to even costumes that looked ready for Halloween. Suddenly, one set of clothes caught Steven's eye. It was a long sleeve green colored shirt and pants with flowers and trees just beginning to grow and bloom on the front of them. It seemed to represent the season of Spring.

Steven took hold of the shirt, looking at it. Nature, the one thing he always loved. The heterochromatic eight year old took off his shirt, putting on the one he had just picked out, slipping it out. Little trees also adorned the shoulders of the garment, he had also found a diaper that matched the shirt, beginning to put it on as well.

Connor noticed another season themed shirt like Steven did. It was red with brown and red colored leaves on it. “This will do.” He said beginning to put on the Autumn themed shirt as he found a diaper that matched the season, much like Steven had. The Autumn themed diaper wasn't nearly big as the one he currently wore, but he would wear this just for tonight.

“Noah, heads up!” Steven called to the youngest of the group a shirt with a field of flowers and fully grown trees, along with a diaper that matched. It was the season of Summer. Noah looked at the clothes, then back at Steven. Who gave a big smile in return before Noah started putting on the Summer clothes Steven had given him.

Lastly, to complete the seasons theme the others were now wearing. Ryan found a Winter themed shirt with white snowflakes on the front of the shirt with a Winter themed matching diaper. “Grant?” He asked, handing his friend the diaper.

“Okay, buddy.” Grant agreed. Beginning to help into the Winter diaper while Misaki found a simple black shirt with fireworks going off and the words “Happy New Year!” written on the front.

Ryan hugged Grant after he had finished helping Ryan into the diaper. “Thanks.” Ryan said as he ran to the other boys who were now lined up all holding hands with one another. What they boys hadn't noticed before was they the shirts they now wore also had a number on them. Ryan's had the number 2, Steven's had a 0, Noah's shirt had a 1 on it and Connor's had a 7. With the boys standing in the order they were now in. The number 2017 could be seen. What they had also failed to notice was Mia now holding a camera.

“Okay now, boys. Smile for the camera and say it with me!” The waitress requested with a smile of her own.

“Happy New Year!!” The diapered boys cheered as Mia took the photo.
